AdBlue® is a non-toxic aqueous urea solution of highest purity, whose quality specifications are defined by the ISO 22241 norm. As a means of reduction within SCR-systems of diesel operating vehicles it reduces the harmful NOx levels by 80-90%.

It is commonly used by freight traffic vehicles and passenger cars.
But also machines of the construction/agriculture and forestry sector and diesel powered vessels and trains which are equiped with a SCR-system are demanding AdBlue®.

The brand „AdBlue®“ is a registered trademark of the German VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V.) and used primarily on the European market.
It is also known as DEF (USA), ARLA32 (Brazil) or just under its technical name „AUS32“ outside Europe.

AdBlue® is injected into the exhaust gas flow and morphes into ammonia (NH3).

During a chemical reaction this ammonia reduces the harmful NOx parts within the exhaust stream. The NOx parts are unchained and rebonded into nitrogen and water vapor.

By side effect AdBlue® also reduces the fuel consumption up to 5% and fine dust emissions. This ensures an observing of the strict limit values of the European emission standards Euro IV/V/VI and beyond.

This synthetically produced solution is classified as a non-dangerous good by REACH and ADR/RID transport regulations.

AdBlue® is additionally also categorized as product with low risk for water and soil.
In Germany it is listed in the lowest water-hazard class 1. (WHG)
AdBlue® is neither flammable nor explosive.

AdBlue® crystallizes at -11 degrees C and should be stored frost-free.

The surrounding temperature should furthermore not exceed +30 degrees C permanently and all kind of packing units shouldn not be stored in direct sunlight.

The average shelf life of AdBlue® is 12 month, effected by the final storing conditions.

After passing the 12 month period, the product can still be of best quality.
We recommend to analyze the remaining AdBlue® prior to further use.

The approxiamte demand of AdBlue is ca. 5% of the fuel consumption
